The Journey

Arise, shower, breakfast by eight
Snap door locks and shut the gate
"I know, I know, I'm running late"
"Oh hurry up for goodness sake!"

Car loaded, all squeezed in
Water, food, alas no gin
Lashing rain its all such a pain
CDs and music to keep us sane

Grey tarmac, stern faces
Traffic cops in parking places
Speed cameras, road works
Sunday drivers and Merc Berks

Pit stop for a quick pee
This time, not just for me
150 miles, my minds a whirl
All because of a baby girl

That is lovely. Since Amy was 18 months old I have been taking her to Manchester once a month and this poem is very fitting. Thank you for sharing that with us. Crystal xx

That was great Mousie. I can just imagine you reciting your little ditties to the Heiress!!

warm wishes

PS-I am not having any luck e-mailing you, not sure whether you have received my two e-mails about the bags.
Am ready to start your shopper bags-just need to know whether you would like a hand painted (fabric paint) option and I can put add purplecoo website details
or a felt/fabric option. (like the Heiress' bags)-felt is appliqued onto a felt backing and placed onto the canvas bag

MOst people seem to be opting for the hand painted, but is entirely up to you.

So if you would kindly let me know which option you prefer and I will get on with them straight away.

Bye for now
Many thanks
Kind regards
xx

Lovely little poem - the anticipation jumps right out of it!I can't wait to be making little trips to care for a wee one too!
You have a nice light touch with your poetry - that makes it sound like baking, but I think you'll know what I mean.

She is worth every miles and remember to let me know when you are coming down next time and we could meet for coffee.
